The FAQs.

Troubleshooting Tips

    • Completely power down and restart the unit

    • With the unit powered up, wiggle all electrical connections and the harness. If the image fluctuates or flickers, the issue may be with the harness and connectors

    • If available, install a different transducer (ensure the unit has been configured if a different transducer is used) and see if that resolves the issue

    • If the issue is still present, reach out to us!

    • DISCONNEC THE UNIT IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT attempt to power on your unit.

    • Set the unit upright and allow to dry out (possibly in direct sunlight). DO NOT place your unit in an oven of any kind

    • Disconnect all connectors and inspect for moisture. If any moisture is observed in either the male or female side of the mating connectors, it may be removed using low pressure forced air

    • Connect the unit directly to a battery and/or try another battery. NOTE: Powering up your unit can cause irreversible damage. If you are hesitant, send your unit to Clear-Cast!

    • Clean connector contacts with mildly abrasive pencil eraser. DO NOT remove gold or any other contact plating as this may result in accelerated corrosion

Time is critical - the longer moisture remains in your unit, the higher the risk of irreversible damage.
